Welcome To My Classroom

Mrs. Spaulding

About Your Speech / Language Pathologist:   Mrs. Spaulding received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and completed her Master of Science degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.  She holds her Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association.  This is Mrs. Spaulding 14th year here at McKinley Elementary.  During the past several years, she has also worked with students at McKinley Middle School.  Prior to working at Kenosha Unified, she had speech/language experience working with a “birth to three-year-old” program and a sheltered workshop for developmentally disabled adults.

Mrs. Spaulding currently works with children that have been evaluated and met district criteria demonstrating speech or language difficulties that impact their education. These may be in the areas of articulation, receptive and expressive language, phonology, pragmatics, voice, fluency or feeding and swallowing.  Observing the progress children can make in their communication skills when students, parents, teachers and therapists work together is the one of her greatest pleasures.

Outside of school, Mrs. Spaulding enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She loves traveling, reading, hiking, swimming and cross-country skiing. She is married, has two daughters, and a grand-dog.

Please feel welcome to contact her if you have any concerns or questions regarding your child’s speech and language development.  She will be happy to assist you and your child.
