About Your Teacher - Ms. Pettit has been an art teacher for 19 years. She has worked at McKinley Elementary since 1999. Her students participate in the district art shows, when they exhibit excellent creative skills and fulfill the requirements. During the art curriculum writing process Ms. Pettit participated, assisting in the finalized curriculum development. Ms. Pettit is an active artist participating in area and national exhibitons. The art work devloped by her is both two dimensional and three dimensional, traditional structures and innovative. Ms. Pettit is a life long learner and takes numerous creative workshops around the country. It is one of her goals that the students at McKinley Elementary combine information from other subject areas into the development of their art projects.
